Over the coming year, we will continue to expand and strengthen the data available through the Secure Research Service (SRS), delivering new datasets and linked data assets while enhancing the quality, usability and documentation of existing resources.
This includes building on major investments in linked data infrastructure, such as ONS's Health and Labour Market Dataset, and working with partners to ensure that existing assets remain relevant, accessible and optimised for research use. Through these efforts, we will support a growing range of research that informs policy and delivers public benefit.
A key priority will be closer collaboration with ADR UK-funded government departments to maximise the reuse and impact of their data. Working alongside departments and data owners, we will identify opportunities to make greater use of existing data, develop new data assets and support secure data linkage that enables richer research insights. By strengthening these partnerships, we aim to increase the range of research questions that can be addressed while reducing duplication and making better use of data already collected across government.
We will also continue to improve the researcher experience through a programme of service enhancements focused on reducing friction across the research lifecycle. This includes speeding up the onboarding of datasets through more efficient processes and closer collaboration with data owners, streamlining project and dataset access arrangements, and delivering improvements coordinated through our service improvement team. Together, these changes will help researchers access data more quickly and efficiently while maintaining the high standards of security, governance and public trust that underpin the service.
