A number of new datasets are being developed including:

The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) remains committed to providing remote access to research data where possible, and looks forward to meeting the challenges of the transition from the Office for National Statistics Secure Research Service (which provides researchers with remote access to NISRA datasets) to the Integrated Data Service.

ADR NI researchers leveraged funding in February 2024 for a new programme to encourage voluntary and community sector organisations to use the NI Census 2021. This exciting initiative will see data providers and academic researchers work together on supporting these organisations to engage with and make use of the census data offerings.

The Administrative Data Research Centre Northern Ireland (ADRC NI) will continue to build upon its successful programme of policy and public engagement. Key upcoming developments include the imminent onboarding of the first Northern Ireland Public Data Panel, and renewed engagement with policymakers and elected representatives through the scoping of a future All Party Group on Policy and Public Data. Through these initiatives, ADRC NI will continue to champion public voices in data-driven research and decision-making.

To better support researchers to engage and involve publics in research, a training course on public engagement for data-driven researchers is also being developed, with plans to pilot this across ADR NI and then ADR UK in the coming year.
